Bronze 9010

Bronze 9010 alloy is composed almost entirely of copper and tin. The high concentration of tin in this alloy contributes to its hardness and resistance to corrosion, while phosphorus increases hardness and wear resistance. Bronze 9010 alloys have excellent malleability, formability and weldability qualities.

Bronze 9010 general characteristics

Bronze 9010 has approximately 90% copper, 10% tin and small concentrations of lead, zinc, iron in its composition. The main general characteristics of Bronze 90 are: excellent resistance to corrosion, easy cold handling for stamping and excellent conformability.

It also presents good resistance to wear, corrosion and superficial fatigue, as long as it is well lubricated. It has great durability, even working with heavier loads.

  • Specific Gravity = 8.78
  • Specific Heat Capacity = 377.1 J/kg at 293 K
  • Thermal conductivity = 50.2 W/m at 20 ºC
